Clive Tucker
Clive worked as lawyer in the UK and internationally for 20 years before establishing Pitch Partners in early 2010. He was a corporate/commercial partner of Ashurst for 10 years. He has been based in London, India, Hong Kong and Singapore, and worked extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East and the US.
While at Ashurst Clive was relationship and lead partner for clients including Abbey/Santander, Equitable Life, NEC and Virgin Mobile, and was involved with many major panel and other pitches to advise leading UK and international corporates, government agencies and institutions. Pitches Clive won include those to advise on the bank charges litigation, the acquisition of assets as part of the government response to the financial crisis, major outsourcings in the media, energy and financial services sectors and a range of corporate acquisitions and disposals.
Clive spent several years at Ashurst working as a pitch partner and negotiation trainer in addition to his transactional and client-facing activities, and now leads the pitch partner team at Pitch Partners as well as providing business consulting advice to clients in the financial services sector (including on selection of legal advisers).

Nick Thwaites
Working alongside Clive is pitch partner Nick Thwaites.
Nick was formerly a partner at Linklaters, where he worked in the firm's capital markets group.
As well as his European practice based in Linklaters' London office, he spent time in the Tokyo and Singapore offices and was a founding partner of the Bangkok office.
He advised all the major global investment banks and a range of multinational corporates on a broad spectrum of corporate finance transactions.
After leaving Linklaters he established his own business which he continues to develop and manage while working as a pitch partner.
Nick's pitching skills were first honed in the tough environment created by the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s, when clients on tight budgets had to be persuaded to look beyond price alone.
Using that experience, Nick won pitches to a wide range of domestic and international corporates and institutions for debt and equity issues, acquisitions, joint ventures and debt restructurings.
